What we collect, and what we do with it.
Effective July 2026 · Twine Family Inc., South Bay, CA
The short version
We collect what we need to run a small family-care service, and nothing more. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Your children's routines, your school calendar, and a caregiver's application stay between you and us.
What we collect
From families: your name, email, phone number, and what you choose to tell us about your family, your children's ages, and your school calendar, so we can plan care around it.
From caregiver applicants: your name, email, school or program if you're in one, and what you write in your application. If we move forward together, we collect what the vetting requires, references, TrustLine registration, a background check, and CPR certification, each with your consent and each run through the appropriate provider.
How we use it
To answer you, to match families with caregivers, to plan and confirm care, to run vetting and payroll, and to meet our legal obligations as an employer. That's the whole list.
Who we share it with
Only the providers a real operation needs: background check and TrustLine processing, and payroll. Each receives the minimum required to do its job. We share information beyond that only if the law requires it. We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold it in the past twelve months.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children online. What we know about your kids, we know because you told us, and it is used only to care for them.
Keeping it and keeping it safe
We keep personal information only as long as we work together, plus what employment and tax law requires us to retain. We limit access to the people who need it, which at our size is a short list we can name.
Your rights
California residents can ask us what we hold about them, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@twinefamily.com and a founder answers, usually within a few days and always within the legal window. We never treat you differently for asking.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we post the new version here with a new date, and we tell current families and caregivers directly.
